Techie Kids Club

S.T.E.A.M CLASSES FOR EVERY AGE

Whether your child is embarking on their coding and programming journey or seeking a new challenge, Techie Kids Club provides programs for kids aged 3 to 8. Our focus is on creating a positive introduction to technology and education, leaving a lasting impact on kids and their families.
Your child’s tuition and registration fee covers:

A weekly 30 to 45-minute in-person enrichment class at the school or childcare center they attend
A Techie Kids Club t-shirt and tote bag, shipped to your home

CODING FUNDAMENTALS

Our STEAM-based curriculum is designed by educators to deliver technical concepts in an age-appropriate way, keeping students engaged and motivated to learn. Coaches use a combination of devices and “unplugged” activities to teach coding concepts like algorithms, sequencing, loops, and debugging.

TECHNOLOGY TOOLS

Our certified teachers visit classrooms and bring the devices and materials needed. We bring kid-friendly tablets, robots, and other digital tools designed for early learners, including pre-readers. We also use simple tools like decks of cards, blocks, and board games to demonstrate coding concepts.

PLAY AND MOVEMENT

In addition to “unplugged” activities, our interactive classes include movement, music, art projects, and stories to engage children. A typical Techie Kids Club class contains about 30 minutes of unplugged time and 15 minutes of screen time.

How old does my child have to be to join Techie Kids Club?

Classes are designed for children in preschool through third grade (approximately 3 to 8 years old).

When and where are the classes held?

Classes are held once a week at participating preschools and childcare centers. Each class is 45 minutes.

What is included in my child’s Techie Kids Club membership?

Membership includes:

One 30-minute enrichment class each week, at the preschool or childcare center your child attends, during hours they attend

How do we teach programming to early learners?

Techie Kids Club coaches use a combination of technology tools and “unplugged” activities to teach coding concepts like algorithms, sequencing, loops, and debugging.

We use kid-friendly tablets, robots, and other digital tools designed for early learners, including pre-readers. Our coaches also utilize simple tools like a deck of cards, blocks, and board games that encourage cooperative learning.

How we approach screen time?

In addition to “unplugged” activities, our interactive classes also include movement, music and stories to engage children with varied levels of motor skill development. In fact, a typical Techie Kids Club class includes no more than 15 minutes of screen time.
